The Live 7 Launchpad scripts are in fact ...Hi Sam,

The Live 7 Launchpad scripts are in fact included with the decompiled 7.0.18 scripts available on the Support Files page.

For partial Live 8 sources, you should be able to use Unpyc 0.8.1 (UnPyc-disasm_0.18.tar.gz from http://sourceforge.net/projects/unpyc/), with the -D (Decompile) switch. You may only get partial results however (i.e. some instances of ">>> Fatal error: could not structure control flow graph" within the sources would be expected). You could then try to reconstruct any missing methods with disassembly listings, generated using the -d (disassemble) switch.

Best,

Hanz

PS: Don't hesitate to email me if you want more detail.

PPS: From Unpyc's application.py:

Usage: UnPyc -D [ --debugDraw ] [ -q ]
UnPyc -d [ -x ] [ -v ] [ -v ] [ -q ]

Options:
Decompilation:
-D, --decompile decompile
--debugDraw draw intermediate CFGs

Disassembly:
-d, --disassemble disassemble
-x, --xref show basic blocks and xrefs
-v verbose, use twice for more verbosityHanz Petrovhttp://remotescripts.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-40966439985250854852011-01-10T03:20:13.802-05:002011-01-10T03:20:13.802-05:00Hi again Hanz,

Awesome work both figuring out how this stuff works and then also taking the time to write such in-depth tutorials.

Now on to my question. I have a Launchpad and an Akai MPK61 keyboard. My dream is to have the 8 knobs, faders and buttons on the MPK61 be synchronised to the 8 tracks that the Launchpad's session is currently highlighting.

Eg. If I move the Launchpad's session highlight so it covers tracks 4 -> 12, then the MPK61 faders will control track volume for tracks 4 -> 12 also.

With that in mind, I am trying to use Unpyc to get a decompile of the Launchpad scripts. As far as I can tell there are no Launchpad scripts prior to Live 8 so I have to extract them myself. Using Unpyc I have my dissasembly of the main Launchpad script, however I cannot get Unpyc to do ANY kind of decompile.

You said Unpyc could do partial decompilation, but when I look in the source code there is just a message that says "Not implemented" and there appears to be no decompiling source code at all. What am I missing here?

I tried downloading unpyc_0.8.1_all.deb (the only other file offered by the Unpyc project) but it's a Debian package file and being on Windows myself I can't get into this file at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers and thanks,
SamUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10829021116743431813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-73989991983181360332010-09-01T13:19:58.893-04:002010-09-01T13:19:58.893-04:00working on doing this for my protodeck controller....working on doing this for my protodeck controller.
http://julienbayle.net/protodeck

I'll use OSC in the future, so I'd need to use LiveOSC + specific remote scripts ):)Julien Baylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17900029414596911581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-78393131400131287492010-08-07T10:07:55.055-04:002010-08-07T10:07:55.055-04:00Hello and respect for your job !

I think this problem concern all users of two APC 40 on 1 PC.

Configuration :

- 1 laptop PC dual core with Windows XP
- Soundcard U46 MK2
- Ableton live 8.1.4
- 2 APC 40

Firstly, when whe open a new live project, the two transport boxes (red and yellow) are locked together and we can't move each boxes separatly. Is this normal ? How can we move each boxes separatly ?

Secondly, the most painful problem is below :

When we use the two APC40, each APC control 8 track of the set. On each track, there are an effect rack controlled by the "Device control" section of the APC40. When I want to control an effect on a track, I push the corresponding "Track selection button"
and I use the "Device control" section. But if my friend want to control an effect on 1 of his 8 track, when he push his "Track selection button, I can't control the effect of my track an I control the same effect of him. So the "Track selection" section is not separated for each APC40 !

I try to locked effects on each APC40 but we can lock only 1 rack effect for each controller.

Please, help me to solve this "conflict", your my last hope ! Because at all we can't control 2 effect separatly on each APC and it's very very boring. I googled everywhere, and maybe I must use a custom Midi remote for APC 40 ?

Your sincerely,

And maximum respect for your job, Ableton Live rocks !

contact me at deekay_5 at hotmail.com

(Please forgive my english, I'm from France...)Daykeeknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-71252976133708011442010-06-16T13:02:19.982-04:002010-06-16T13:02:19.982-04:00By change color, I mean toggle not momentary, alth...By change color, I mean toggle not momentary, although momentary would be cool too.DJ Storyhttp://www.intuitivebeats.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-48254377499242693152010-06-16T13:00:53.127-04:002010-06-16T13:00:53.127-04:00Really impressive work! I just didn't see anywhere something I'd like to have on my APC40 and I'm sure you know how to do it...

My problem is I'm using the 8 banks as virtual decks and on the APC I just can modulate effects on one bank; or hard map but these are both no satisfying alternatives. I'd like to have the three one/off switches for the EQ's when I hold swtich on each bank. But Live wouldn't let me map it the "easy way" and I must admit I'm kind of stuck with that problem.
Plus the function would be great because it would leave me 2 buttons per bank to assign freely.

I suppose everything I need to know is written above but if you could give me some issues it would be great...
heading to sleep, marvAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442540270151710698.post-40352242018722514672010-05-23T06:08:35.814-04:002010-05-23T06:08:35.814-04:00Hi !
